The Midleton Irish Whiskey Jug featured here was commissioned by Irish Distillers in the 1970s. This was to coincide with the launch and celebration of the new Irish Whiskeys made in Midleton.
The Midleton Irish Whiskey jug is made by Arklow Pottery. The jug features gold, green, white text, and a red logo. It bears the stamp ‘Arklow, made in the Republic of Ireland, IRONSTONE’ on its base.
During the mid-1970s, Irish Distillers consolidated production at a new purpose-built facility in Midleton.
