The Neal Carlin Arklow Jug on show here is rare. It’s made by Arklow Pottery, using a special mould. These jugs occasionally appear on auction websites and consistently fetch high prices.
This Neal Carlin Arklow Jug has different text on both sides. On one side, it reads, ‘Neal Carlin & Co., Derry for the Best Selection of WINES, SPIRITS & LIQUEURS’ while the other side says, ‘Neal Carlin & Co., Derry, Royal Flavor, THE WINE FOR EVERY EVENT.’
On the pub jug base, you’ll find the Arklow stamp along with the words ‘Supplied by F. McDaniel, Belfast.’
