Quin’s of Limerick were whiskey bonders and bottlers in Limerick, located in the southwest of Ireland. They also had their own brand of cream sherry called Quinvino. This one pint jug was crafted by Carrigaline Pottery in Cork, Ireland.
The jug has text on three sides. One side reads: “It Never Varies, John Jameson & Sons, Ten Years Old, 10, Bottled in Bond, By Quin’s of Limerick, Estd 1822.”
Another side reads: “Quinvino Cream Sherry, Quin’s of Limerick, Estd 1822.”
The front of the jug reads: “The Mark of Quinvino Quality Wines.”
On the base, there is ‘1 PT.’ which refers to 1 pint. This is equivalent to 1 British Imperial pint measure, which is 568 millilitres.
