Hewitt’s Whisky was made by Cork Distilleries Company in Cork, Ireland. The brand honoured the Hewitt family. They originally established the Watercourse distillery in Cork. Later it became part of Cork Distilleries Company.
Unlike most Irish whiskeys, Hewitt’s Whisky was initially a peated blend. However, it was later changed to an unpeated blend before being discontinued in 2004.
It’s worth noting that the term “whisky” is used without the ‘e,’. This was common for distilleries outside Dublin at that time.
